SENsational EDucational Kitchen (SEN-ED Kitchen)

Welcome to the SEN-ED kitchen, which offers all the ingredients for INCLUSION and INDEPENDENCE

Baking is an amazing way to learn so many skills, is great fun and also has the added bonus of there being a tasty treat at the end of it! Sarah is really passionate about children finding enjoyment from baking in the same way she did as a young child. During sessions they will learn to measure ingredients, follow recipes and be creative with the appearance of their bakes. Children will get the opportunity to make a mixture of both sweet and savoury bakes across a term or can just drop into a session and enjoy baking for a morning. During a session children may bake things such as scones, cupcakes, cookies, mini tarts or quiches, pizzas, flatbreads and even have a go at making dips.

The SENsational EDucational Kitchen works with children from ages 2-16 years old and offers:

☑️ baking sessions and parties for children and young people

☑️ tutoring, academic support to both parents and children

☑️ adult baking skills workshops

☑️ social baking and decorating sessions for kids and adults

☑️ baked treats - cakes, cupcakes, brownies, donuts, traybakes

☑️ a safe, non-judgemental space for ALL!  

 My opening hours are between 9am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday, I am also open Saturday and Sunday mornings between 9am and 12pm. If you require a session outside of these hours, I can usually accommodate this with notice.  

Sarah is an experienced teacher, who has worked in a number of primary and secondary schools. She is a specialist in Science, PE and Special Educational Needs. Sarah is a passionate baker and a mum of three, two of her three children have diagnosed Special Educational Needs (SEN), giving her a unique understanding and perception of Special Educational Needs(SEN) as both a parent and teacher. 💚

After over a decade of teaching and 3 years running a baking business, she has decided to bring together her two passions and experience to provide something truly unique!
