My name is Wendy Austin, and I’m an independent Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT), working with adults and children in the Ipswich and Colchester areas, and online.
I graduated from the University of Essex with a Masters degree in Speech and Language Therapy, and have worked with a wide variety of client groups since then; including preschool children, pupils in mainstream schools and within a specialist school for autistic children.
I work with children with language delay, speech sound difficulties and social communication difficulties (autism). I enjoy making therapy sessions fun for children, using their own interests to guide my input. I am Makaton trained at levels 1-4, and have completed ELKLAN training in supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties.
