Sunbeam was established in 2000 by three Directors, now with combined social work experience amounting to over 88 years. The same founding directors remain at the heart of the company. Based in London, Sunbeam has successfully expanded to the Midlands (Sunbeam Midlands) and Home Counties (Pride Fostering Services). To date we have in excess of 350 foster carers available throughout the UK providing foster care to approximately 470 children. Sunbeam has secured several contracts and is the preferred provider for the majority of London and the surrounding areas Local Authorities. We have a dedicated staff team with extensive social work experience within the fostering sector throughout the organisation right up to the Directors.
Sunbeam London
Sunbeam Fostering Agency is one of the largest and most progressive independent foster care agencies in London and the Midlands, providing good quality and innovative family placements to children in care. The business was established in 2000 in response to the market need for a prompt coordinated service to provide foster care to children and young people in need, especially those from ethnic minorities. We currently provide services to over 50 local authorities in Greater London and the Midlands. Our head office is based in Langley, Berkshire with resource centres to provide support to foster carers and children in Wembley, Walthamstow, Croydon and Portsmouth. The Langley (London & South) business is registered with Ofsted and is rated Good.
Sunbeam Midlands
Sunbeam Fostering Agency has a further office in Coventry, which was opened in 2009 and is separately registered with Ofsted. To support our Coventry office, we have also resource centres in Nottingham and Birmingham. Sunbeam is a member of the Fostering Network and FosterTalk. All our staff and carers are members of the FosterTalk.
Sunbeam Pride Fostering
Sunbeam Pride Fostering Service is an Independent Fostering Agency registered with Ofsted providing high quality and well supported fostering placements for a diverse range of looked after children and young people. The company was established in 2009 in order to provide specialist placements for children with complex and challenging needs as well as mainstream foster care. Our registered office is in Luton and to support of registered office, we have also a resource centre in Northampton. Pride has excellent relationships with local authorities and we have been successful with recent tender applications in their local area. This includes the Luton, Central Bedfordshire and Bedford framework contact. We are currently recruiting carers and would welcome the opportunity to meet new potential carers.
