Sandhills Nursery Wolverhampton

Sandhills Nursery Wolverhampton is part of The Old Station Nursery Group.

Sandhills Wolverhampton is a purpose built, state of the art nursery, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to education, offering a home from home experience.

Our stunning nursery is over two floors and has 8 rooms; 3 baby rooms, 3 toddler rooms and 2 pre-school rooms.  Each room has been purposely designed and resourced for a particular age group. On the first floor, there are 4 children’s rooms along with a community room and a reflections room.

On the ground floor, in addition to 4 children’s rooms, you will find our library. All of the rooms have access to an outdoor space which all have breath taking views of the countryside, ensuring plenty of space for outdoor exploring. We are set in a beautiful 3 acre site so our children are often found outside discovering new things in nature and the environment.

At Wolverhampton, we have paid thoughtful attention to creating an environment that enables children to develop relationships with the world around them, themselves and each other. We see the adult as not the giver of knowledge, but instead children search out the knowledge through their own investigations.

The Reggio Emilia approach is known for regarding the environment as the third teacher.  All our rooms have materials that are easily accessible, uncluttered and inviting. Staff work with the indoor and outdoor environment to ensure the space children use is a source of learning opportunity. Our Reggio inspired nursery respects the need for comfort and a place to pause, for both children and adults alike.

We are open for 51 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday, from 7:30am – 6pm.
