Ride High Equestrian Centre

We are an Equestrian Centre based in Loughton, Milton Keynes, offering horse riding lessons and school holiday activities for children.  We’re also a social enterprise, meaning all profits from the Ride High Equestrian Centre are used to support the local children’s charity Ride High, which transforms the lives of Milton Keynes’ most disadvantaged children.  The Ride High charity is also based at our site.

Riding lessons:

We offer riding lessons from age 3 - please visit our website for more information.  New riders should register their details and book a private (assessment) lesson, after which they will be given a grade and will be able to join group riding lessons for that grade or continue with private lessons.  

School holiday activities:

During school holidays and on Bank Holidays we offer activities for children aged from 3 - 14 years (age range varies with activity).  Please visit our website to find out what's on.  Activities do tend to fill quickly and places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment - all places must be prebooked.

Holiday Activities often include:

🐴 Tots' Pony Hour (age 3 - 6 years)

This activity includes a half-hour lead-rein ride and structured, age-appropriate activities on the yard, this may include grooming, feeding, decorating or even bathing ponies.  Groups are smaller for these sessions  (maximum of 5 children per group) and younger children can be accompanied by 2 adults (no siblings please).  Please wear wellies or boots.  

This activity is ideal for younger children who would like to try a pony ride and meet our friendly ponies.

🐴 Pony Hour (age 5 - 14 years)

This activity includes a half-hour lead-rein ride and structured, fun activities on the yard, this may include grooming, feeding, decorating or even bathing ponies.  Children can be accompanied by 2 adults (no siblings please) or left with us for the session.  Please wear wellies or boots.  

This activity is ideal for children who would like to try a pony ride and meet our friendly ponies.

🐴 Led Hack (age 3 - 14 years)

Meet our friendly ponies and join us for a gentle Led Hack through Loughton. This activity is suitable for beginners and parents are welcome to join us for the walk. 

🐴 Pony & Activities Camp (Age 5 - 12 years)

A Holiday Club with a difference! 

Children will have a full, fun-packed day at the Equestrian Centre – with a range of activities to get them active and making friends.  They’ll also be getting very hands-on with our friendly ponies, learning about grooming, feeding and mucking out, as well as enjoying a pony ride and decorating the ponies with chalks and accessories! 

This activity is suitable for children who have never ridden as well as children who can already ride.

We also offer seasonal activities e.g. a ridden Easter Egg Trail, Hallowe'en Trail and Meet Father Christmas.
