Meet over 70 rescued horses, ponies and donkeys nose-to-nose at Redwings Oxhill, including irresistibly fluffy, part-breed Poitou donkey Arya, curious cob Rumpel and beautiful Shire Lady.

The centre, a Visit England Quality Assured Attraction and TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice award winner 2020, is one of five Redwings Horse Sanctuary visitor centres, where animal lovers can get up close and cuddly to its adorable residents and hear their stories.

After making plenty of new four-legged friends, visitors can put their feet up in the Nosebag Café with a hot drink and a slice of cake, while there’s a play area for young children to explore.

There’s also an on-site gift shop offering a wide range of souvenirs and you might like to sponsor one of the charity’s adorable Adoption Stars, either for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. A year’s adoption costs from just £15!

Entry and parking are free, and dogs on leads are welcome however some facilities may be unavailable in accordance with the latest Covid-19 Government guidelines.

Redwings Caldecott

Redwings Caldecott, Fritton, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR31 9EY 

If you love donkeys, then this is the place for you! Redwings Caldecott, near Great Yarmouth, offers visitors the chance to get up close and cuddly with over 100 rescued horses, ponies and mules, including a large herd of lovable donkeys.

The centre is one Redwings Horse Sanctuary’s five visitor centres, and provides a safe haven for its adorable residents, including gentle giant Shire Cross Fox and cheeky Shetland pony Sampson.

After a relaxing stroll, you can put your feet up with a warm cuppa in Oliver’s Café and there’s an on-site gift shop offering a wide range of souvenirs. You might also like to sponsor one of the charity’s lovable Adoption Stars, either for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. A year’s adoption costs from just £15!
