At Pen Green we are committed to children and families. We hold them in mind in everything we do, from the work within our children’s centre to the professional development we provide through our research base. For 30 years we have held the philosophy that it is crucial to work in close partnership with parents. This philosophy is reflected in our daily practice, and in the courses we have developed over the years.

Pen Green offers a range of services, including care and education for children from 9 months in our Baby and Toddler provisions, through to 5 years in our Nursery provisions. We also provide an After School Club and Holiday Playscheme for children for 4- 11 years.

We also have a wide range of groups available in our group work program.
At Pen Green we also offer family support, home visiting and community education opportunities- as well as a warm welcoming place to be.
Connections and friendships once made, are frequently long-lasting and many lead on to parents becoming involved in the Centre as workers. Nearly 60% of the staff here at Pen Green began their journeys in the centre as parents.
We welcome many visitors to the Centre each year and these come to us from all parts of the UK and around the world. We are proud of our reputation for leading outstanding practice and regulalry hold visitors days as well as Early Years Conferences.
We consistently work to develop what we do and how we work to improve outcomes for children and families, and to meet the changing needs of the local community.
