Northampton and Lamport Railway

The Northampton and Lamport Railway is a heritage railway just north of Northampton.

We run trains on Sundays (and some Saturdays and Bank Holidays for special events) between March and October. We also operate a very popular Santa Specials train experience in the weekends leading up to Christmas.

The Railway is run purely by volunteers and all profits go back into sustaining and improving the Railway.

We have a specially designed wheelchair-accessible compartment in one of our coaches, which can booked via our website

Facilities include: free parking, souvenir shop, buffet (serving cold and cold drinks, snacks and freshly prepared hot food) and toilets (on platform, NOT on train)

Why not combine a trip to the Railway with a nice easy walk along the Brampton Valley Way, which runs parallel with the track? Its nice and flat and suitable for pushchairs and cycles and you can watch the train pass by.
