Our Story:

Inspired by the arrival of his baby niece in 2020, My First Music’s founder, Josh, composed a collection of personalised songs written just for her. It was the start of something special.

Josh lovingly built the highest quality collection of exceptionally crafted, bespoke songs for his niece, her mother, and their whole family. His gift gift burst with genres, sonically spanned the globe, and became the soundtrack of his niece’s world. The music was rich and meaningful; part of the tapestry of their family life. These were songs that would grow alongside them, echoing through their many years to come.

Then something magical happened - his music caught the hearts (and ears!) of family friends and siblings, and before long, other children had their own custom songs to sing at bath times, bed times, car rides, and celebrations. The response was overwhelming - it immediately became a family favourite, and a welcome change from screen time and nursery rhymes.

My First Music was born.

Josh’s Music Therapy training crystallised his believe that every child is unique, and their songs should be too. Collaborating with leading childhood developmental experts, his heartfelt gift was tailored to stimulate cognitive growth through each childhood developmental stage; fostering musical curiosity, nurturing emotional well-being, and inspiring creative play. 

Each album contains the child’s name, age, favourite toy, safe place, the people (and pets 🐶!) they love, choice of verses (space 🪐 fairies 🧚‍♀️ nature 🌱 dancing 🪩 dinosaurs 🦖cooking 🎂 cars 🚙 superhero’s 🦸‍♂️ sports ⚽️ art 🎨), a personal dedication, and 30 minutes of award-winning music. Whether your child loves grandma, struggles to sleep, or simply wants a dinosaur adventure, their musical journey begins with you!
