Review: Little Life Stories Membership, worth £89
Review by VIP Club Member Linzi Melrose
I was very happy to be chosen to review the Little Life Stories Membership, as you don't receive the book until the 52 weeks have passed, I'm not yet able to provide a review of the physical book at the end, nor provide a photo of the product, but here is my review of the process so far.
I’ve always liked the thought of keeping a memory book or journal or just making something sentimental for my daughter as she grows up. However realistically I don’t have the time or mental space to sit down and keep on top of something like that, nor am I particularly creative or artsy to be making cute keepsakes. This memory book has therefore been a really thoughtful and practical way to document my daughter’s early years without it feeling like another chore on my to-do list, all the hard work is done for you.
The process is simple and well structured. Each week, I receive a question via email prompting me to reflect on what Francesca is doing, or something special that’s happened recently. I can answer the question, add a photo if I like, and can also save it as a draft to come back to later. This flexibility has been invaluable to me, as some weeks are hectic and I know I can jot down a quick thought and then expand on it when I have more time. And if I don’t like a particular question I can change it for another one.
I also particularly appreciate the weekly emails as a reminder, as without them I would almost certainly forget to keep up with a memory book. It feels manageable and sustainable, even during busy or tiring weeks. The questions themselves are thoughtful and varied, and they’ve encouraged me to be more mindful and reflective about Francesca’s development. I now notice little changes in her personality, routines, and milestones more that I might otherwise overlook in the rush of everyday life. I do sometimes struggle to come up with an answer long enough to meet the recommended minimum word count, but in those cases I can always come back to them at another time or swap for a different question. The fact that you can review and edit your answers and photos at anytime in the portal is also great as then the book doesn’t feel rushed or permanent until you’re completely happy with it.
Another reason I love this product is that I am quite forgetful, and I know how quickly memories fade. I love the idea that I’ll be able to look back over this book in years to come and remember exactly what Francesca was like at this age; her habits, her funny moments, and how she’s grown. I’m also really looking forward to sharing it with her when she’s older, so she can see what she was like when she was younger, and maybe even use it to compare to her own children one day.
I’ve not yet completed my year of questions but I already cannot wait to receive my finished memory book, and the process itself has also been so enjoyable.
Overall, I think this memory book is perfect for busy parents who are sentimental but short on time. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a beautiful, personalised keepsake without the pressure of organising it all yourself.
