Review: Graco Energi i-Size R129 Car Seat, worth £120

I have been testing the Graco Energi i-Size R129 for a little while and these are my findings!

Sizing, comfort and fit for children:
Size wise, I am not sure I would put a child as young as 15 months in it as its pretty flat and compact, however for my son who’s almost 3 and older children it’s great. It seems especially ideal for tall children because of the flat design but transitioning between the harness mode and the high-back booster was easy when I tested it which is brilliant! The seat is a lovely size and allowed my son to look out of the window which he loved and the armrests were a nice touch!

Installation:
For installation, it comes in two parts and the instructions in the book don’t really tell you how to do anything except the straps which was odd to not know if you were doing it right, and the isofix has a lever underneath which I didn’t know about until I looked up how to install on youtube. It looks as though there was a QR code you can scan which gives you a guide on how to install but I personally used youtube which made it very easy once I knew what to do!
The seat is also very easy to adjust to suit your child.

Cleaning:
Although I haven’t needed to clean the seat yet, a nice feature is the fact that the cover is removable easily and that it can be washed on a simple 30 degree wash. I will say that putting the cover back on was slightly harder than removing it, but it was still okay to do.

Overall I am very happy with the seat, the design looks nice in my car and the features are well thought out. My son is happy and when asked if the seat was comfy I received a resounding “yes!” which considering the fact that the seat is also lovely to look at, secure and safe this is a win win!

The fact that it can accommodate such a broad age range makes it a fab investment in my eyes and I look forward to using it for years to come!
