Review: Bona Premium Spray Mop, worth £42.99

I received the Bona Premium Style Mop and immediately got to task with putting it together. Even without following the instructions I was able to put it together in a few minutes, very easy to do.

Using the mop itself is so easy to use that even my 4-year-old daughter can use it, and she did when she dropped her drink on the kitchen floor. Which is a real plus for helping children take responsibility for cleaning up their mess. The kids love helping mummy “clean” the house and there’s been many times I find them “mopping” the floors. Thankfully the trigger for the spray is quite high up and none of my 3 children have figured out how to use it… yet.

Cleaning up small spills and messy food patches is a breeze, however, should you need to clean up anything dried (a few cheerios stuck to the floor courtesy of my 20-month-old) it will take a little more elbow grease. Or in my case putting my foot on top and giving it a bit of welly.

The microfiber cloth at the bottom is removable and can easily be cleaned by throwing into the washing machine. Which is great news if you are potty training with those little accidents. It dries everything well and I was surprised at how dry the floor was afterwards. However, it does only come with one cloth, so you'll need to either buy more or be without while you wash and dry the one it comes with. Personally, I think it should have come with 2 for easy rotation.

It comes with one full bottle of cleaning product, which is refillable, and more fluid can be purchased separately. The trigger for the spray is quite responsive and gives a good spray of coverage.

I gave The Bona Premium Style Mop 4 out of 5 stars. As I said before it makes cleaning up small spills and messes a breeze. However, I don’t think I would be completely replacing my mop for it. In between clean ups – no problems. But just not the deeper clean.
