Review: Hape Flexistix Eiffel Tower, worth £15.00

Review written by Toddle About VIP Club member, Michelle Rose. My son aged five and I really enjoyed playing with and building the Hape Flexistix Eiffel Tower. It was nice to be able to have some one to one time together making it. I love the fact that it is made from bamboo and is sustainable so does not add more plastic to our house and the colours are lovely and bright. The pieces are very sturdy, easy to use and hold. The instructions were a little difficult to use on some of the parts when fitting the pieces together with the right gaps but we loved the measuring guide and loved matching the sizes up to the images this was a really big help and clever idea.

The finished model is very sturdy although is a bit wonky from not quite putting the sticks in far enough and it has been played with a lot by my five year old and two year old. It is also easy to take apart and store when needed, but not so easy that it can be destroyed quickly by a toddler! It is definitely something that an adult would have to help with as it can be quite fiddly with holding the pieces together to fit the next ones and the very simple instructions. I think it will improve motor skills in children and also their concentration. If you are feeling creative, you and your child could make all sorts of different models using your imagination, my five year old certainly did and this was lovely to see his creativeness. I would definitely recommend this product, especially to anyone who has children that like to build and create, it is something that could be used in creative play with cars, lego or other role play. I really think it will appeal to those mums who are environmentally conscious and fed up with plastic toys. Buy from Amazon
