The Story Museum is a most unusual museum in the heart of Oxford celebrating the power of stories to teach and delight. Our Small Worlds gallery is recommended for preschool and primary school aged children. A 60-minute session includes songs and stories led by a Story Guide, free play in five story-themed zones and a simple creative activity. Come and explore a land of picture books, nursery rhymes and tradional tales. Go on a Bear Hunt , discover Biscuit Bear's kitchen, relax in the Night Safe, ride on the Story Bus and enjoy stories on our giant bed. Plus don't miss our Elmer the Patchwork Elephant area!
For children aged 5+, highlights include a Whispering Wood and an Enchanted Library. The Museum also offers a full programme of events including family storytelling shows, clubs, courses, workshops and schools sessions. Visit the website for more information and details of museum/shop/café opening hours.
