Serenity Mums aims to be that mothers companion / mothers help that traditional midwifery care used to encompass before pregnancy and childbirth moved out of homes and communities into big central systems and hospital settings. Serenity Mums provides the continuity of care and carer lacking from current NHS models of care where appointment frequency and length are decreasing all the time. It allows someone to be with you and your family all the way through this epic journey. Someone who really knows your story and can guide you through decisions, challenges, physical, mental and emotional changes. Someone who can offer practical help and support in your own home when you need it most and empower you to fully feel and embrace motherhood in all it’s forms – both joyful, challenging and otherwise, moving away from just focussing on the mechanics and biology of birth, considering you as a whole, individual being with emotional and spiritual needs that are of equal if not greater importance than the physical aspects of motherhood.
