Proteus is an award winning theatre company that create dynamic and inspiring theatre experiences for all ages. Our productions tour nationally to venues as diverse as community spaces through to large scale theatres.
Proteus have their home at the Creation Space, a community arts centre in the heart of Basingstoke, run by Proteus for everyone. The Creation Space hosts performances that span many genres and diciplines, lots of shows and events for children and families (including our legendary immersive in-house Christmas show!) and a varied programme of regular classes and workshops.
We have a wonderful programme of events that can be found on our website along with ways in which our community can also participate in the arts - whatever their age!
Our regular opening hours are Monday - Thursday, 9.30am-5pm, however many of our shows and events take place outside of these hours so please refer to individual event timing information on our website www.proteustheatre.com/whats-on
We have a cosy on-site cafe/ bar which is open for artisan coffee and cakes Monday - Thursday 9.30am - 1pm and will always be open outside of these hours when we have events happening in the building.
