Hello, our names are Marcia Rowe and Kelita Wood. We are accredited practitioners and authors of Amazon's 5 star rating children's book called Time2Play: Marc's First Visit. We evolved in April 2020 from Time2Play to Kidstime2play, advocating education by learning important life values and life skills through play, embracing positive development and well-being for children and families borough wide.
Benefits of our children’s books
Our books are relatable to young readers under 8 years old, and highlights aspects of community-life in London. The book has two sections for under 5s and over 5s. It features key areas within the EYFS, KS1 and part of KS2, benefitting lessons in Physical Education (PE), as well as the Government's drive to highlight Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) in schools. Children can:
- Practice their skills and engage in the comprehensive questions at the back.
- They can use their imagination and creativity to re-write the story.
- Children can recreate the physical activities using the games in the story.
- Educators, parents or carers can support children's language skills.
- Build and encourage meaningful conversations.
- Discuss the importance of how the diverse characters relate to London life.
- Discuss how communities include different cultures.
We also offer online and face2face author visits and workshops relating to our books.
