Joy Mead Gardens is a community garden in the beautiful village of Farthingstone. This delightful place is a hidden garden with stone cloisters and a small temple with a large lawn area where people can come to relax or attend the various events which are held here each year.

The gardens are the perfect space for a family picnic, with a small selection of playground equipment including a new balance beam area with plenty of room to run around. Children will love exploring the different spaces, be it weaving in and out of the stone columns in the Cloisters, playing hide and seek throughout the garden, swinging on the swings or challenging themselves on the balance beams.

Joy Mead Gardens are open all year round, except when closed for private events. They are managed and maintained by the Joy Mead Charity Trust and volunteers.

The gardens can be hired for private events and makes a great venue for outdoor children's events and summer bithday parties.

There are various events throughout the year to help fundraise for the upkeep of the gardens, including the magical "Christmas in the Cloisters" in the run up to Christmas time.
