Hi, I’m Ginny, a postnatal doula, infant feeding coach and baby massage instructor. I support new mums and parents across Colchester and the surrounding areas to feel more prepared, supported and confident as they navigate life with a new baby.
I believe the postnatal period deserves just as much thought and support as pregnancy and birth. My role is to help you prepare for those early weeks, make sure you have the right support around you and provide practical and emotional support once your baby arrives.
Through my postnatal planning support, I help parents feel informed and prepared for life with their newborn as well as their feeding journey, guiding you to understand and discuss your hopes, fears and the support network around you at this time.
My postnatal support takes place in your home. I provide practical support, be there when you need someone to listen, and help take some of the mental load off your shoulders. Sometimes that might mean looking after your baby while you shower or rest, helping with meals, supporting you with older siblings or getting out of the house, and sometimes it simply means having someone there who understands.
I also offer postnatal planning and care coordination, helping you build a personalised support network around you; from feeding and physical recovery to meals, wellbeing and specialist support. My aim is to make sure you don’t feel like you have to figure everything out alone.
Alongside my one-to-one support, I co-founded The Kindred Co, creating supportive spaces for new mums to connect, talk honestly about motherhood and feel less alone during those huge first months.
Ultimately, I’m here to help make the transition into parenthood feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more supported, because you deserve care too.
