Welcome to Bluebell Ceremonies. I'm Anne - a trained and experienced celebrant, creating beautiful naming ceremonies for families throughout Oxfordshire and beyond. Naming ceremonies are a modern alternative to christenings and baptisms, bringing together loved ones to celebrate the arrival of a new member of your family. They can take place in any location and incoproate any content that feels right for you - so if you're looking for a fun day in a woodland setting, a tipi in a field or your favourite restaurant - a naming ceremony is the perfect way to welcome your new arrival.
What to expect: Most families have readings, and promises from parents and guide parents (the equivalent of Godparents), and you can also include grandparents and siblings. You might also want to plant a tree, light a candle or any other symbolic act which is meaningful to you.
I was inspired to become a celebrant when we organised my daughter's naming ceremony and I thought what a privilege it would be to create and deliver such a wonderful celebration. Families are formed in all sorts of ways, whether that's through adoption, birth or blending, every family is wonderful and unique, and I'd be thrilled to help tell your story.
I’m based in the lovely village of Barford St John on the edge of the Cotswolds, so I cover Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. I hold a Diploma in Celebrancy.
