Review: Cry Babies Newborn Coney, worth £25

We were very excited to be offered the chance to review the Cry Babies Newborn Coney.

This is a lovely doll and my 2 year old has loved playing with her. Newborn Coney is the perfect size for toddlers and young children to carry around, she has interactive eyes which blink and cry and she comes with a bottle, dummy (this is key to stopping the tears!), rattle and a "smart watch" for your child to wear which helps change Coneys mood.

My daughter often doesn't choose to play with dolls but has become really smitten with Newborn Coney, she constantly checks on her baby, understands when she is sad and makes sure she has a bottle and dummy, when Coney cries - she really cries! You can choose to have this option yourself as you fill the water in through a hidden hole, we initially had the real tears but our daughter kept getting upset at how wet the babies clothes got as she cries a lot!

I believe Newborn Coney would be a brilliant doll to help young children understand what having a newborn around is like and how often they cry/have needs, she has also proven to be quite helpful in helping us as parents explain that her dummy is for babies as we are weening off my daughters dummy!

The accessories which come with Newborn Coney are a little basic but the addition of the "smart watch" is a lovely touch because it gives your child a further way of being interactive with her, my daughter is too young for a watch but has shown a lot of interest in others watches so has loved having her own to wear.

Overall the Cry Babies Newborn Coney has proven to be a lovely toy, a great addition to my daughter who has really loved taking care of and playing with her - as a parent I've loved watching the interaction (even if it means I've ended up with another crying baby in the house!)

I would rate this 4 out of 5 stars due to the slight impracticality of the amount of tears she cries as she soaks everything.
