Review: Bluey's Big Play at Royal & Derngate
Review written by Ally Richmond at Toddle About West Northants
We had a fabulous time this morning at Royal & Derngate. We were lucky enough to be able to go to the first show of Bluey's Big Play today with my almost four year old. She is a huge Bluey fan, I am too, so we were very excited.
As always at Royal & Derngate, we were directed with no issues to our seats. The staging was really well done, a beautiful set of the The Heelers home and garden.
The story follows Bingo, Bluey, Chilli and Bandit as they play a game of musical statues and hide Dad's phone. It's a typically brilliant episode of Bluey with a lovely theme running through the show. If you're familiar with the show on television, the episodes always have a great message or a lesson to learn. This translates really well to the stage show.
There's a surprise visit from another favourite character, lots of antics that you'd expect and a few that took us by surprise.
It's a fun-filled, happy and engaging show, a great way to spend a morning.
The show is on until 9th June, if you get the chance to go, I urge you to do so, it's fantastic!
