The Old Station Nursery Mottershead Drive provides a home-from home environment for all children to thrive in.
With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this exceptional nursery provides your child with a safe and secure space to develop and foster a love for learning.
Each room has been carefully designed to support the growth and development of each individual, providing children with a ‘base’ room, that allows them to explore and excel at their own pace. There is plenty of soft play equipment, sensory baskets and musical instruments for them to use, play and learn with.

"The staff at Mottershead nursery are fantastic! My 7-month-old has been at the nursery for 2 months and loves it. I chose this nursery because my eldest child attended for 3 years and loved it also so there was no doubt in my mind to send my 2nd child here. All the staff care about your child and also you as the parent. They really are an extension to the family! I can't fault them. The communication is brilliant, the care and activities are brilliant, the food is brilliant and varied. A really great example of when a nursery is done properly!"

"Our daughter loves to go to Mottershead Drive nursery. The staff made her feel welcome from the start. They listen to her and take her seriously in her wishes, if possible. She is always in good spirits when we pick her up. We know that the staff would call us immediately if something was not right. This is very reassuring. Mottershead Drive is a smaller nursery than the other ones in the area, so if you are after a nursery with a family feel, where everyone knows your child and you by name, then you are right at Mottershead Drive."

"All the staff are amazing and supportive. Communication has always been brilliant, I remember ringing after every drop-off for the first couple of weeks just to 'check in'. They were always happy to chat and assured me he was fine. As a parent, you have access to an app where you can see various information about their day but most importantly photos! Each day they do a varied amount of activities and also get the opportunity to play outside. The staff also take the time to focus on each child's interests as individuals too. The food always smells lush and the staff regularly tell me he asks for more! My son is currently being toilet trained and they have been great with supporting him. I couldn't be prouder of the little boy he's becoming and nursery are a huge part of this! I owe all the staff a big thank you but a special thanks to his current key worker and the manager. You are all a part of our family and we will be extremely sad to leave next year! The best nursery in Gloucester!"

Find out moreUnderstandably, the cost of day nursery can put many familiesoff choosing it as an option. But there are a range of Government schemes open to parents that can make nursery affordable and we will do everything we can to help you understand the choices and access the funding that you might be eligible for.
Tax-Free Childcare – For working families earning under £100k and at least £131 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage) each who aren’t receiving Tax Credits, Universal Credit or childcare vouchers.
15 hours and 30 hours Funded Childcare – For many working parents of 2 year olds, and 3 – 4 year olds for 38 weeks each year.
