Our Prep students had an unforgettable `WOW Week` last week filled with adventure, creativity, and discovery!
From team-building challenges in Upton Court Park to baking and decorating cookies with Chef Mark, every day brought new opportunities to learn and have fun.
A special highlight was Careers Morning with a Prep 4 parent, who gave fascinating insights into the music industry. We also got hands-on with science, explored sportsmanship at Sports Day, and ended the week with a magical trip to Legoland.
Thank you to all the staff, students, and parents who helped make this week so special.

A brilliant day of athletic energy, school spirit, and excitement at Long Close School Sports Day!
From Year 1 to Year 10, our pupils gave their all in a wide range of events, from sprints, long jump, relay races, sack races, shot put, vortex throws, and long-distance runs. Each race showcased determination, teamwork, and true sportsmanship.
It was wonderful to see parents cheering from the sidelines, creating an encouraging and supportive atmosphere for the students and even taking part in a Dad’s race!
Thank you to our wonderful Head of PE and to everyone who made the day such a success. We’re already looking forward to next year!

Our students amazed us today with their creativity and innovation as we marked World Environment Day with a fantastic fancy dress competition.
They were challenged to design eco-friendly outfits using recycled materials and anything they could find that supports a sustainable lifestyle.
Well done to everyone who took part, including Mrs McCauley who looked very stylish in a skirt and matching waistcoat designed out of brown paper. Your designs were inspiring and a brilliant reminder of how small actions can make a big difference.

We’re thrilled to announce that Long Close School has been awarded the School Games GOLD Mark Award for 2024/25!
This national award recognises our commitment to sport, teamwork, and inclusive participation across the school and wider community — and we couldn’t be prouder.
From tennis to trampolining, football to New Age Kurling, over 90% of our pupils have taken part in inter-school competitions and festivals this year. Their enthusiasm, resilience, and sportsmanship have truly shone through.
A huge thank you to our amazing pupils, dedicated staff, and inspiring young leaders who’ve made this achievement possible.

Our Pre-Prep pupils had an unforgettable day at @hounslowurbanfarm recently with some incredible hands-on experiences! From feeding goats and cuddling calves to bravely handling snakes, lizards, and even beetles - the variety of animals was amazing!
We were so proud of how calm, confident, and caring our children were, and the farm staff couldn’t stop praising their wonderful behaviour. Well done to all our little explorers!
