Review of Cinderella at Ipswich Regent Theatre

Review written by Pia Howe, Toddle About Suffolkcinderella If you enjoy a traditional, audience-interactive panto, then this Christmas’ offering from Ipswich Regent Theatre – Cinderella – is well worth a visit. Fantastic staging, flamboyant costumes and catchy songs – certainly enough going on to make sure for a jammed-packed pantomime that you and the family will remember for the rest of the year. We attended with our children (8 and 3 years old) and it has been pitched perfectly for a family audience, so the kids loved it too. There’s nothing too

scary, nothing too rude – though still plenty of jokes for the grown-ups thanks to the absolutely hilarious Mike McClean as ‘Buttons’. Former S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt as ‘Fairy Godmother’ had us up dancing to ‘Reach for the Stars’. Australian Eye Candy and West End star Adam Garcia as ‘Prince Charming’ did not disappoint along with some beautiful singing from Cleo Demetriou as ‘Cinderella’ and her two laugh-out loud ugly sisters ‘Ivana’ and ‘Ivanka’. You will not be disappointed - it is a thoroughly enjoyable night out for the whole family and in our children’s’ words an ‘EPIC Reach to the Stars Show’! Cinderella runs at the Ipswich Regent Theatre until 31st December 2019 and you can purchase tickets here or by calling 01473 433100. Cinderella Stage Cinderella Stage
